One of the most appealing things about being in this field, is the amazing people you will meet along the way. Seeing so many people in the field pull together for the same goal is a wonderful thing. So when we bring in a new member to the team, we want to ensure that they have the same passion and dedication to the field and research as we do. Every member of our team has the same mindset that if we have a great work ethic, investigative contributions, and a level of professionalism matched by no other, we will operate as a fine oiled machine. We are a very close nit group of people, so in a sense, you’re not only joining a team, but you’re joining our family. So because of this, we are very selective of who we add to our team.
Please review the information below, and while it is a lot to read, it will help you determine if Requiem Paranormal is the right fit for you. We strongly believe that the team you want to join fits you, just as much as you fit the team. Once you read over everything, and feel we are a great fit for what you are looking for, then your application will be reviewed. If we are not what you feel you are looking for, we would gladly point you in the direction of a team better fit for you!
Thank you, and good luck!

Founder – Requiem Paranormal Investigations
-Investigating with our team will sometimes mean a large contribution of your time. We typically investigate on Saturday nights, which can take from 3pm until 3am, or even later depending upon the distance and size of the location being investigated. However, what many new investigators don’t realize is the time commitment following the investigation. For every video camera and audio recorder used, you will need the same amount of time on the recording to set aside to review the material. For example, if you are responsible for reviewing two cameras and two audio recorders from a five hour investigation, that’s 20 hours of review that will need to be done. This is time that you will need to be free of distractions, which can be difficult around an active family life. Please ensure that you’ve not only considered this, but have also discussed it with your family and loved ones. Further, the review of your material will need to be thorough and complete. We have clients who are often fearful, and who are eager to hear complete results of our investigation. We are not serving clients well if we are not giving them our complete effort. This is the primary reason we insist upon quick and thorough review of all investigative data.
-Investigating can be expensive! Our team members are volunteers, rather than paid employees. So, the costs incurred as a member will be yours to cover personally. Requiem Paranormal does have a stock of equipment to be used on investigations. However, this is team gear, and is not gear to be used by individual investigators on a regular basis. You may be assigned a team EMF meter or camera to run for the evening, but will need to provide your own audio equipment, flashlights, still cameras or other personal gear you choose to use. You will also be required to purchase a Requiem t-shirt to wear while investigating. So, please consider these costs, as well as the cost of gas and meals while on investigations.
-Investigating the paranormal can be exciting! It can also be very boring. We spend a good bulk of our time, sitting in dark buildings, quietly waiting while our equipment records various forms of data. Often, this is without gaining any anomolous data at all. So, while the thrill of investigating is at least a partial motivation for everyone in the field, please understand that the thrill often comes from being able to bring relief to a frightened client, or in the form of an anomolous event occurring on an occasional basis.
-While we do investigate historical sites and public locations, we frequently investigate for residential clients. These clients are often scared, and have had to build the courage to even simply reach out to us. For this purpose, it is important that we maintain a professional attitude at all times. We do like to have fun, and are an easy going group to be around, but when the work begins, we must remember that we instill confidence in our clients by behaving professionally. Maturity and compassion are two things that are appreciated in our members, and that we feel are beneficial to our clients.
-We are a team who operates on the basis of science. What does this mean exactly? It means that while many of us are very metaphysical in nature, and while this is might be something cultivated in our personal lives, it is not something we bring heavily into our work with Requiem. Our reason for this is that we are seeking proof, and feel we should only do so with methods we can validate and present to a heavily scientific community. Does this mean we consider ourselves to be scientists? No. Please understand that we do not operate in a lab setting, and are dealing with many unknown variables. By calling ourselves a scientific team, we simply mean to differentiate ourselves from teams who lean heavily on the use of psychics during their investigations.
Still interested? Let’s get to the formalities..
-We require that each team member be 18 years of age of older, and free of felony convictions. This is not only for the safety and well-being of our team and clients, but for you as well. We pride ourselves in having a trustworthy, and professional team, and while we all make mistakes, keeping the client comfortable with us being in their home is the top priority.
-Please consider the fact that we must be seen as credible by our clients. For this reason, we insist that our members be drug free, and arrive at investigations free of any prescriptions or mind/perception altering substances. We also ask that you be free of mental illness. This is seen as discriminatory by some, but please understand it is for the protection of all involved. If something disturbing, upsetting or dangerous happens on an investigation, this can be a catalyst that dramatically affects an otherwise well-managed mental illness. If you fall into this category, and want to be involved with our team, please contact me personally so I can see if we have a non-investigative opening that might be more suitable.
-Specific positions with Requiem will require different skills. In general, we seek people who are skilled with computers and work well with electronics. While not required, additional consideration will be given to those with web design/graphics skills, professional degrees in areas of science and/or psychology, in-depth knowledge in the area of theology, or experience in the field of paranormal research. If you are currently a member of another team in our area, please understand that I will not review your application. This is out of respect for the integrity of your current team, and the management in place there.
